The Movement for the Emancipation of Poetry, founded in Florence in March 2010, wants to re-instill in the people interest and respect towards poetry in all its forms.
The Movement for the Emancipation of Poetry (from now on “MeP”) intends to achieve its purposes by utilizing every suitable channel but still intends to preserve the respect towards other forms of art.

The MeP, to pursue its aims, calls for the anonymity of its authors to put poetry in the center rather than the individual authors.

The MeP is open to all those who support its purposes, those who recognize the Manifesto, and those who commit to take concrete actions to achieve the movement’s aims.
